Named after the great mr. Guthrie, Woody Veneman was born in Eindhoven The Netherlands. His band Woody & Paul released six albums on various independent labels and did about fifty gigs a year all over Europe. In various projects Woody played with musicians like Marc Ribot, Fresku, Aura Msimang and Johnny Dowd.
